The serval is to large but then again the terrier due to being game could give a good fight.

Hmm interesting bout… The serval looks more cheetah build than some of the other smaller cats, to be on the cat safe side I'd prefer a more robust species be up, assessing the fighting potential of servals ocelots etc is more random guess work than when using other families of animals, I don't think the serval will be up to much against similar weighted foes, if you believe patterdales can take the fight to a Eurasian badger (of which I don't) then the serval is mere fodder. Never really thought the smaller cats are tooled up enough when taking on near parity face offs, only when the species size is hiked up do the cats killing weapons noticeably escalate, I'd still give this to the serval…just, purely because its about 50% heavier than the pat. |

odd fight, the serval is bigger, the patterdale terrier is hyper and the serval might not have the jaws to kill it. I can see the serval just swaping at the PT

Patterdales and Jack Russell are both warriors for there size, but I favor the larger feline, the serval.

The feisty little dog would quickly be dead.A serval is roughly double the weight of a Pd or Jr terrier.While a serval lacks the ferocity of its neighbor the caracal,it has all the usual feline weapons. |
