This has been one of the more popular topics, and was debated some time ago.To use an analogy,it is somewhat like the fox/domestic cat debate. That is,the coyote
must have a significant size advantage over the bobcat in order to prey on it.The usual behavior is mutual avoidence.Because bobcats are solitary and coyotes
are often in pairs or small packs, coyotes are the dominent animal where both are found.Do a search on 'The Santa Monica Mountain Study",good info, and
excerpts were online the last time I looked. This study delved into the relationships of predators in an area about 60-80 miles from where I reside. It looked at
cougars, coyotes, bobcats, and foxes. While the author did find bobcat remains in coyote scat, the age, sex, condition of the victim,or the number of coyotes is
unknown. The general opinion anong most is that assuming healthy males,a 12 kilo coyote would not dare to attack a 10 kilo bobcat, and if it did,the coyote would
recieve a severe mauling.

I have read cases where foxes caught in traps were mauled by coyotes, could be the same situation with the bobcat
